Lush green alpine meadows at the valley head with mighty 3,000m mountains, Europe’s highest permanent weather station on the Hoher Sonnblick, and numerous mountain huts and inns giving visitors a heartfelt welcome. Experience a true summertime feeling during your summer holidays in the Alps
Winter:
In Winter, Rauris Valley and Taxenbach greet guests with winter landscapes that invite you to go winter hiking, cross-country skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing far removed from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. And of course, we can’t forget the climate-friendly family ski area served by the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen, which never fails to excite rookie skiers and families alike. Sking is also available in many nearby resorts should you wish to explore the area; from the village charm of the Dienten complex to the high glacier skiing in Kaprun or the expanse of Saalbach
